July Expenses
Well, finally a month where we actually came in under budget even with our traveling. I'm very happy with this month's total.
Today was another beautiful day sunny with some cloud early in the afternoon and 26C (79F) with no rain, that's 2 days in a row with no rain, almost a record this summer!
We had to go in to Orillia to get a new barbecue this morning as our old one had rusted out. We finally found one at Canadian Tire. I picked up a few groceries while we were out as well. Then home for lunch and a nap.
Mid afternoon Gordon started putting the barbecue together and found out it was missing a part. Don't you hate that?
Anyway, this afternoon was the Hawkestone Farmer's Market so we briefly stopped by there then headed back to Canadian Tire to exchange our barbecue.
Farmer's Market - there was a little more to it but not much and I didn't see anything I needed
This time we checked it before leaving the area and it seems to have all it's parts. Since we didn't have the barbecue to cook the chicken that I had gotten out of the freezer yesterday, we decided to go out for dinner but was still early so we went to Couchiching Beach Park again.

Wet zinnia - they had just watered them

There was an amusement park there today.
When we left there we headed to Kelsey's and had a nice dinner there. I thought we could celebrate since we were under budget this month!
Here are some photos I took earlier in the week 'around the RV park'.
This is the main road. There are half circles on each side of the main road where the seasonal sites are.

A vacant one - this is a nice large site too - kind of pie-shaped

Ladies rest room - if you go through the door at the end you get to
the indoor pool
Here's a photo of the map of the campground.
That's our day!
Thanks for posting your budget, Sandra. I appreciate seeing "real costs" of being on the road fulltime! And you're right... campgrounds that fit larger rigs are hard to come by in Ontario. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post. I've got all of them so far and doing a really serious comparison of what we have now. It's getting closer.
