Back to God's Country

This morning Gordon and I decided since it was such a lovely day (for a change) that we would go and investigate some back roads that we hadn't been on yet.

We saw some beautiful country and I saw a lot of zigzag split rail fences. Gordon says I have a fetish for zigzag split rail fences. On the farm where I grew up there was a zigzag split rail fence that led from the barn to the pasture and I spent a lot of my childhood years walking along that laneway.

We decided since we can't get to gator country that this was a gator

Isn't this a beautiful setting for a house?

World's smallest natural bridge (LOL)

If you look closely you can see a fisher. He was in the middle of the road and took off.

This swan was in the swale close to home (there were two of them).

Easter 2011

Easter this year was mostly about Jack. At 7 weeks old he is nearly 14 pounds and is absolutely adorable!

But I did manage to get a big smile out of Danica!

Danica - her birthday is next week!
Thanks again to Margie and John for a wonderful Easter meal as usual!
