Sunday August 30, 2009-Laundry Day

Today was mostly cloudy and windy with a brief period of rain. I took my camera with me on my walk this morning.

Froggies on someone's lawn

Lots of birds down by the boat slips

One of the seasonals building a new deck

I decided today would be a good day to get the laundry done so I packed up and took it up to the campground laundry at lunch time. There was one dryer going when I arrived and that person never did arrive to pick up their laundry while I was there so when I went to use the dryers I took it out since the dryer had stopped and put it in the laundry basket that was there. I don't know why people don't watch their laundry. I really hate removing people's laundry from the dryers but I'm not about to wait for them to show up either. There is no place to sit in the laundry room except a small uncomfortable bench so I either take a lawn chair or sit in the truck.

I remember a time in an RV park in Surrey, BC where a man was really upset with me for removing his laundry. These laundry rooms at campgrounds are small and I say if you don't want someone to remove it, you should be there watching it.

That's my rant for today.

After unpacking clothes I lay down with my book and of course, had a nap.

We had some sun come out late in the afternoon but it looks like the next few days will be bright and sunny.

I took this one from the bottom step of our RV. Almost everyone is gone and we have a wide open view.

Totally agree with you regarding the laundry. Really ticks me off when laundry is left in the washer or dryer and there's noone around !! I'd remove it too...and then I get more ticked off 'cause that means more work for me !!!! LOL

  2. We had this abandoned laundry in the dryer happen a lot in Phoenix last year. Loyce will load it in a laundry cart every time, since she agrees that we shouldn't have to wait for the folks to show up.
We had one man that was furious with us, but oh well he'll get over it eventually. Perhaps these folks might learn something in the process!

  3. Just another thing to deal with, thanks for the warning. I didn't even think of that, I can't imagine leaving my laundry.
