Monday December 21, 2009-Merry Christmas!

Well, we decided to do our Christmas photo so this morning we went out and got Santa hats. My Santa hat includes braids. Then we made our way to Andrew Haydon park, slogged through the snow to find a bench in the middle of a snowbank and here it is.

Prior to that we stopped and got haircuts. I even got a new 'do'! I've had the same hairdo since probably the year 2000 so it was time for a change.

We stopped to pick up a few groceries and then headed for home!

It was bright and sunny today and the temperature wasn't bad but the windchill was brutal! Can you see us shivering in our photo?

Merry Christmas everyone!

  1. Fabulous picture. I hope you'll never have to be in that kind of cold ever again. Here's to getting to the good ole USA

  2. There will be a number of positives from staying home this winter, but the snow bank around that bench isn't one of them!!

  4. Great photo -- how did you get it without the foot prints or is that a photographer's secret?

Hope you get your immigration stuff cleared up soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I loved the scenery, it looks very Christmassy! LOL
Of course, I am totally envious of the fact that you have a White Christmas! :)
Stay warm in that frigid windchill!

    Sandra and Gordon,

Now that is heart to sit on that cold bench in knee deep snow to send all of us your good cheer.

We are on the road headed for Louisville, KY to visit family. There is no snow yet, but the benches are darn cold.

I second Dee's wish about your never having to stay in the cold winters again.
